The Fraxel laser is a non-ablative fractional laser treatment that helps to treat signs of aging, pigmentation, and issues with texture. This treatment is transformative and can provide a great deal of improvement for patients. Dr. Sárraga has developed a fantastic combination treatment that uses Fraxel and PRP therapy in order to get the maximum benefits from both.
How Does It Work?
This combo treatment is done in-office using either a topical anesthetic or local anesthesia. While waiting for the anesthetic to take effect, blood will be drawn and prepped using a centrifuge to separate the plasma from the rest of the blood. After the laser is passed over the skin, the prepared plasma is injected into your face using a fine needle.
Combining these two treatments speeds up the healing process by adding growth factors into the skin that exist in your blood, while still providing the same skin revitalizing benefits of the platelet-rich plasma treatment on its own. PRP therapy infuses the skin with stem cells that nourish the skin for a more youthful, glowing complexion. Post-treatment, a chilling device will be applied to the skin to help cool it down.
Why do Both Treatments at the Same Time?
After Fraxel laser and PRP treatments, Dr. Sárraga has seen a dramatic decrease in recovery time that not only provides the benefit of a quicker recovery but the benefits of PRP therapy. The result is more even and smooth skin, that also looks younger and plumper thanks to the addition of PRP. This treatment is perfect for the patient that is looking for an overall skin revitalization that improves the skin on every level.
